Additional appointments will be available as the Mississippi State Department of Health allocates vaccine doses to the Warren County site or as existing appointments are cancelled by individuals. Residents are encouraged to refresh the page to see up-to-date status of available vaccination appointments.

Will need to return to this vaccination registration website to schedule your second, booster injection and should make your appointment at the same site where you received your initial injection.

Who Is Eligible for Vaccination

Adults aged 65 and older. Adults in this age group can be vaccinated at any of our drive-through locations below, or at some private healthcare providers. See below for appointment information.

Anyone 16 to 64 years old with a chronic health condition that may put them at higher risk from COVID-19. (18 or older at our drive-through sites.) Qualifying health conditions:

Cancer
Chronic kidney disease
COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
Down Syndrome
Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies
Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant

Obesity (body mass index [BMI] of 30 kg/m² or higher but less than 40 kg/m²)
Severe Obesity (BMI 40 kg/m² or higher)
Pregnancy
Sickle cell disease
Smoking
Diabetes
Or other medical conditions as determined by your medical provider

Note that your physician or medical provider may advise that you be vaccinated even if you do not have a health condition listed above.

Long-term care facility residents and staff.

Healthcare personnel and EMT/paramedics, paid or unpaid, in any setting where they may be exposed directly or indirectly to COVID-19 patients or COVID-19 infectious materials.

Healthcare workers include nurses, physicians, emergency medical services, technicians, pharmacists, dietary and food staff, environmental services staff and others.

Healthcare settings include acute care facilities, long-term acute care facilities, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health care, mobile clinics, outpatient facilities such as physicians’ offices and others.

If you have had severe reactions from previous vaccines or injectable medications, please consult with your doctor or a private medical provider about vaccination, not an MSDH drive-through site.

Where You Can Be Vaccinated

There is no restriction to receive vaccination in the county where you live. However, since COVID-19 vaccination requires two doses, please arrange for your second vaccination at the same location that you received your first vaccination to ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Local Healthcare Providers

Some hospitals and private healthcare providers have received COVID-19 vaccine distributed to them for administration to persons eligible in Mississippi. Contact a provider directly to find out about cost and the availability of appointments.

An Appointment Is Required

If you are 18 or older, please schedule an appointment online through our UMMC partners. When you arrive for testing, expect vaccination and related paperwork to take about 10 minutes. We also have a 15-minute observation period after vaccination.

After Vaccination

There is a 15-minute observation period after your vaccination.
After you are vaccinated, continue to follow all safety measures such as social distancing and mask wearing.

Your Second Dose

Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses. Both doses of vaccine are necessary to be fully protected against COVID-19.
If you receive the Pfizer vaccine, you should return in 21 days or later for your second dose. If you receive the Moderna vaccine, you should return in 28 days or later for your second dose.
You will receive a text message reminder about your second vaccination as time for your second dose approaches. You can also set a reminder with the v-safe app for your smartphone.
Wait about two weeks after your first vaccination before making an appointment for your second dose. This allows time for second dose appointments to become open.
You can schedule your second vaccination online. An appointment for your second dose is not automatically scheduled for you.
Please bring the vaccination card you received at your first dose to your second dose vaccination.
If possible, schedule your second vaccination at the same location you received your first dose, whether it is through one of our drive-through locations or through another provider.
After you are vaccinated, continue to follow all safety measures such as social distancing and mask wearing.
