County Veterans Service Officer

County Veterans Service Officers assist veterans, spouses, surviving spouses, their child/children and/or their parents in obtaining/maintaining benefits they are entitled to from the Department of Veterans Affairs.  This can involve but is not limited to answering questions concerning the Department of Veterans Affairs benefits they are eligible for, completing paperwork to apply for or maintain benefits and guiding the veteran and/or their dependents through the process.  County Veterans Service Officers are required to attend training courses each year and are also required to pass an annual certification test concerning Department of Veterans Affairs benefits.
